One Night Stand (1998 Version) 3:45
Written by Roger Taylor
Appears on:
Internet Exclusive Download, Electric Fire CD-R promo
This track first appeared as a Real Media file from Roger Taylor's official website promoting Electric Fire. Because the only way to hear it was to enter the code "one night stand" when prompted and to have it stream via Real Media player, this original release always sounded kind of murky and ran too slow, likely the result of poor Real Media streaming issues, all drawbacks of the technology of the day. In the years that followed, a high quality version has been leaked to the collecting community, sourced from a test pressing "acetate" CD-R and at last fans could hear the song in proper digital clarity. The song itself has some nice guitar and a heavy beat which keeps it interesting. Worth finding.

The Roger Taylor career-spanning box set The Lot features what is called the 1998 version of One Night Stand. However, it is not the original version that appears on the CD-R acetate or as a Real Media download. The Lot Mix is about 17 seconds longer and features added instrumental bits between the vocals in the first verse.

Roger's newest solo effort was released digitally in late 2009 and as a QueenOnline.com exclusive CD single in early 2010. Roger's self proclaimed protest song is quite good and hopefully is a sign of things to come. Roger of course handles all vocals and instruments on the track.

Whole House Rockin' (Album Version) 3:00
Written by Roger Taylor
Appears on:
Fun On Earth, Track 14 (Bonus Track featured in The Lot boxset), UK Fun On Earth vinyl picture disc
Whole House Rockin' was originally intended for the Queen + Paul Rodgers studio album The Cosmos Rocks. To fit the album's theme, the lyrics and title were changed, thus Whole House Rockin' became Cosmos Rockin', the opening track. The Lot version of Fun On Earth features Roger's solo take on the song, which is more straight forward and less silly. The track was exclusively available on The Lot boxset until Fun On Earth made its debut on vinyl.

Dear Mr. Murdoch was a track from Roger's 1994 solo album, Happiness. In 2011, a new, stripped down mix of the song was released as a download single. In 2013, this version was renamed the Nude Mix and included on the Fun On Earth vinyl and CD from The Lot box set.

The Shores Of Formentera 3:44

Appears on:
Unreleased
Roger Taylor's new official website, rogertaylorofficial.com, was launched to coincide with the release of Fun On Earth and The Lot box set. A previously unreleased instrumental track, entitled The Shores Of Formentera, was embedded into the website as background music. The track is mostly instrumental with the occasional harmony "oooh" and "ahhh" from Roger. If you are savy enough, it is possible to rip the MP3 from the website. It is unknown when this was written or recorded, but due to the timing of release, the song is generally associated with Fun On Earth.
