Brian May: ""Wilderness" was a fusion of a lot of feelings I had at the time which were (and ARE) hard to express. It was one of those songs which more or less wrote themselves. I had no confidence in it at the beginning, but Justin encouraged me to finish it. There is a lot of darkness in these songs from this period which I find hard to revisit even now. The up-side is that they were part of a path which led me eventually to a good place, though not in a way I was expecting ...I don't really have a favourite song - but of all the solo material I produced probably Last Horizon gives me most pleasure to visit, probably because it gives my daughter pleasure!"
