Top Of The World Ma was considered as a single for The Cross at one point in 1990. An Extended Remix was made for use on 12" vinyl single and possibly CD single release. It ended up that the song was never released as a single, so the Extended Remix remained unreleased until 2013's The Lot boxset.

Liar (7" Version) 3:18
Written by Peter Noone
Appears on:
Germany Liar 7" vinyl, Germany Liar 12" vinyl, Germany Liar CD single, The Lot
This remix doesn't waste any time. It is short and compact. There's nothing new or added, just a rebuilding from the ground up, making the song thicker all around and straight to the point.

Liar (12" Mix) 6:32
Written by Peter Noone
Appears on:
Germany Liar 12" vinyl, Germany Liar CD single, The Lot
Where the Single Remix compresses the song into a no-nonsense mix, this version rebuilds the song differently, taking time to layer each element one at a time. Both are excellent, with one fast-acting, and the other long-lasting. Use as directed: Loudly!

Liar (Live Video Version) 3:55
Written by Peter Noone

Unreleased
There are two video versions of Lair. The first video version just uses the Single Remix for the audio. The second "live" video version uses much of the same footage, but instead uses a semi-live backing track for the audio.

Power To Love (7" Version) 3:27
Written by Macrae/Noone/Moss
Appears on:
UK Power To Love 7" vinyl, UK Power To Love 12" vinyl, UK Power To Love CD single, The Lot
There isn't much difference here from the album version, except that the lead up to the first chorus is cut, which is pretty harsh. There's also some instrumental cut from the middle. Really, for the sake of trimming thirty seconds, the result is not great.

Power To Love (Extended Version) 5:19
Written by Macrae/Noone/Moss
Appears on:
UK Power To Love 12" vinyl, UK Power To Love CD single, The Lot
This track follows the format of most Extended Versions of the period, drawing out the instrumental sections without deviating from the original. Don't expect much new here, but it's a stand-up effort and superior in all ways to the Single Version.

Sister Blue (Album Version) 4:13
Written by Peter Noone
Appears on:
MAD : BAD : and dangerous to know, Track 7

Foxy Lady 3:26
Written by Jimi Hendrix
Appears on:
MAD : BAD : and dangerous to know, Track 8
A cover of the Jimi Hendrix song and a pretty good effort, but nothing is going to top the original. It is still well worth having and it's only available on the CD version of the album.

Passion For Trash (Jam Studios Session) 2:51

This early version features vocals by drummer Josh Macrae. It has a very '80s pop/rock feel, unlike the heavier album version. Recommended if you want to hear something different in the evolution of the song.

In Charge Of My Heart (Single Version) 2:18
Written by Roger Taylor
Appears on:
Germany Liar 7" vinyl, The Lot
This non-album b-side is a good little rocker, which doesn't try to do too much. Some of the lyrics are reminiscent of the end of "Stealin'" (the Queen non-album track). This is surprisingly hard to find, since it's only available on the 7" single. According to Josh Macrae, this track started as a Queen track.

In Charge Of My Heart (Extended Version) 4:44
Written by Roger Taylor
Appears on:
Germany Liar 12" vinyl, Germany Liar CD single, The Lot
This version improves on the regular version by adding a two and a half minute moody percussion intro (longer than the actual song), which is pretty excellent. This version seems easier to find because it was on both the 12" and CD singles.

Man On Fire (Live Version) 5:07
Written by Roger Taylor
Appears on:
Germany Final Destination CD single, France Final Destination 12" vinyl
Here is The Cross performing Roger's solo track from his Strange Frontier album. It has a lighter feel compared to the original and sounds like they were having fun. This exact track reappeared again as a b-side for "New Dark Ages" of the next album, but slightly edited (Roger's intro is removed).
