Album Info
Queen's third live album, Live At Wembley '86, captures
the band at their second night at Wembley Stadium during the 1986 Magic
Tour. An edited VHS video titled Queen At Wembley was released in December
1990, predating the audio release by a year and a half. The album was released
on LP and CD in the UK on May 26, 1992, reaching #2 on the UK album chart.
Hollywood Records released a CD version in the US a week later which reached
#53. No singles were released in support of the album in the UK or US, but
a We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions 7" and CD were available
in Holland and France.
In 2003, a new DVD video version of their Wembley performance was released,
retitled Live At Wembley Stadium. The DVD featured new interviews with Brian
and Roger, rehearsal footage, excerpts from the Friday night concert, and
other bonuses. A new CD version was released, sharing the new name, to coincide
with its video counterpart. Both video and CD releases feature a new cover
and the full version of Tutti Frutti with reprise. The US CD featured four
bonus tracks, three songs from the Friday night concert and Tavaski Szel
Vizet Araset from Budapest.
A 25th Anniversary edition of Live At Wembley Stadium was released as a
2 DVD / 2 CD set in 2011. This time the second DVD disc featured the entire
Friday concert in its entirety. A super deluxe flight case box was also
released featuring the DVDs, CDs, and various pieces of replica memorabilia.

Quite a significant edit at the end of the track. This edit fades shortly
after the "fried chicken" lyric, while the album version continues
on with some instrumental bits for over half a minute.

This version edits out much of the intro and crowd noise at the beginning
of the album version. The ending cuts off immediately after the "fried chicken"
lyric.

2011 A Kind Of Magic Deluxe CD
Not to be confused with the Live At Wembley album version, this performance
of One Vision is from the previous night's concert on Friday, July 11th.
Personally, I think this is a better performance of the song and it serves
as a nice alternative.

This is an edit of the live performance that appeared on the 2011 A Kind
Of Magic Deluxe Edition CD. Again, this performance is from the Friday concert
as opposed to the well-known Saturday show. The opening is cut to include
just the final keyboard note before Brian's guitars kick in, which removes
about a minute and ten seconds from runtime.

Live at Wembley '86 2003 Edition
A great live take from Queen's first night at Wembley. This performance
actually sounds better than the 2nd night that followed. Available only
in the US. The track begins with a guitar chord being held from Tear It
Up and ends with Freddie introducing Another One Bites The Dust (saying
he fancies a boogie).

The audio on the 2011 iTunes Video Version of A Kind Of Magic starts and
stops at different points in comparison to 2003's US Wembley bonus track
release. Instead of guitar noise, the track begins with a fade-in of audience
cheering. The track also ends with the audience cheering as opposed to Freddie
introducing Another One Bites The Dust.

Being Out Rocks is a 2002 compilation CD from the US featuring various
gay and lesbian artists. Queen's live performance of Is This The World We
Created is included in edited form. The crowd noise and Brian's strumming
is editing off the beginning (about 15 seconds). The ending fades early
with crowd applause.

This rare version fades in nicely with the crowd cheering and retains
the entire performance of the song. What's interesting is that instead
of going right into Friends Will Be Friends, as they did on the night,
the track fades out over the crowd noise, indicating some clever editing
was done exclusively for this version. The result is a really excellent
stand-alone cut of this live track.

The album and Dutch singles versions start with roughly the same amount
of crowd noise at the beginning, which is very minimal. The ending on
the Dutch CD version has a nice fade after Freddie says "goodnight,
god bless you." The album version cuts more abruptly because it
is going into God Save The Queen.
