Single Info

John Deacon's only true side project was a side band called The Immortals with Robert Ahwai (guitar) and Lenny Zakatek (lead vocals and rhythm guitar). The Immortals released only one song, No Turning Back, which was featured on the soundtrack to the John Hough film Biggles.

No Turning Back was released as a single in the UK on May 21, 1986. The 7" featured a mostly instrumental version called The Chocks-Away mix on the flipside while an extended version, called The Joy-Stick Mix was the A-side of the 12". The single failed to chart and has never been re-released.

The Chocks-Away Mix is mostly an instrumental version for the first three minutes. The final minute of the song retains the vocals of the main version.
