Say It's Not True (Original
Live Recording) 2:23
Written by Roger Taylor Performers: Queen (Brian May and Roger Taylor), Dave Stewart Appears on: Unreleased Say It's Not True made it's debut at the first 46664 concert. This is a great acoustic live performance by Queen + Dave Stewart. Brian and Dave play acoustic guitar while Roger handles lead vocals. Say It's Not True (Live with overdubs) 3:22 Written by Roger Taylor Performers: Queen (Brian May and Roger Taylor), Dave Stewart Appears on: 46664 The Nelson Mandela Concerts Part 1 - African Prayer The live 4664 album that was released featured a vocal overdub to replace lyrics of the original performance. The original performance had the lyric "magic potions for life.." which was replaced with "magic cocktails for life..." Invincible Hope/The Call/The Show Must Go On 9:19 Written by Taylor/May/Queen Performers: Queen (Brian May and Roger Taylor), Treana Morris, Chris Thompson, Zoe Nicholas Appears on: 46664 The Nelson Mandela Concerts Part 2 - Long Walk To Freedom An okay medley for what it is. The medley starts with the beginning parts of Invincible Hope and goes right into the chorus. Brian sings the full version of The Call. The medley finishes with a good version of the Show Must Go On with various singers. Toss The Feathers 3:33 Written by N/A (traditional Irish folk) Performers: The Coors, Roger Taylor Appears on: 46664 The Nelson Mandela Concerts Part 2 - Long Walk To Freedom A traditional Irish folk song, typically featuring a pan flute and fiddle. This version with The Corrs and Roger Taylor is a bit more rock-friendly. A very good instrumental. Is This The World We Created...? Written by Freddie Mercury/Brian May Performers: Brian May, Andrea Corr Appears on: 46664 The Nelson Mandela Concerts Part 2 - Long Walk To Freedom Andrea Corr does an excellent job on lead vocals while Brian plays a 6 string acoustic guitar. Amandla 7:07 Written by Stewart/May/Anastacia/Bonsu Performers: Anastacia, Dave Stewart, Queen (Brian May and Roger Taylor), Bono, Andrews Bonsu Appears on: 46664 The Nelson Mandela Concerts Part 3 - Amandla This live performance remains very faithful to the studio version and is a bit more up tempo. Bono's vocals add a bit to this one as well and are well suited to the song. Bohemian Rhapsody/I Want It All/I Want To Break Free/Radio Ga Ga 8:24 Written by Mercury/Queen/Deacon/Taylor Performers: Queen (Brian May, Roger Taylor), Zucchero, Thandiswa Mazwai Appears on: 46664 The Nelson Mandela Concerts Part 3 - Amandla This is not a bad live medley performance. The opera part of Bohemian Rhapsody sounds interesting in this "Africanized" version by the Soweto Gospel Choir. Zucchero does a nice job with I Want It All. Thandiswa Mazwai apparently forgets everything about I Want To Break Free, and Roger rounds out the medley by performing Radio Ga Ga quite well. We Will Rock You 2:53 Written by Brian May Performers: Queen (Brian May, Roger Taylor), Anastacia, Amampondo Drummers Appears on: 46664 The Nelson Mandela Concerts Part 3 - Amandla A very good live version featuring Anastacia on lead vocals. Anastacia pulls it off very well! The Amampondo Drummers help out by drumming the backbeat. We Are The Champions 3:19 Written by Freddie Mercury Performers: Queen (Brian May, Roger Taylor), Anastacia, Cast Appears on: 46664 The Nelson Mandela Concerts Part 3 - Amandla Anastacia takes over on lead vocals and the performers of the 46664 Concert contribute backing vocals. Anastacia's voice is really well suited for the song. Recommended. Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime 4:59 Written by J. Warren Performers: Queen (Brian May, Roger Taylor), Zucchero, Sharon Corr Appears on: France Zucchero Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime CD single Strangely enough this live version from the 46664 concert did not appear on the 46664 CD releases, but did appear on the DVD. A proper CD single release happened later in 2004. This is an excellent live performance and is highly recommended. Zucchero sings lead vocals, Sharon Corr is on violin, Brian on lead guitar, and Roger on drums. |
