I Wanna Testify 3:47
Written by Deron Taylor / George Clinton Appears on: I Wanna Testify 7" vinyl, The Lot This is Roger's first solo effort and the first solo Queen release. This was never featured on any solo Roger album (just on 7" vinyl and later The Lot boxset). This is actually a cover of a Parliament track, which seems odd for Roger. It works amazingly well and has a funky sound with great bass and heavy drums. Roger plays all of the instruments on the release.
Turn On The T.V. 3:28 Written by Roger Taylor Appears on: I Wanna Testify 7" vinyl, The Lot The B-side to the I Wanna Testify single and the first solo track penned by Roger. Turn On The T.V. has a heavy classic guitar sound and seems to be highly inspired by Led Zeppelin (especially the middle acoustic part). This is very different from what we're used to hearing from Roger/Queen, but still very good. |
