Born Free is another John Barry/Don Black song covered by Kerry Ellis and Brian May in 2012. The song was originally released in 1966, sung by Matt Monro, as the title track to the movie of the same name. The song became a popular track to cover over the years, performed by Roger Williams, Frank Sinatra, and others. Kerry and Brian's version was released to aid the Born Free Foundation. The song was available as a digital download and as a limited edition 12" picture disc (limited to 1,000). Brian and Kerry did a short Born Free tour the same year. Also of note, Rufus Taylor performs drums on this studio recording and Brian plays guitar and keyboards. Some sources list this as the Large Scale Version.
